The Wee Man

Jim Sweeney has been cast in the motion picture, The Wee Man.  Filming is to take place next month in London.  Written and directed by Ray Burdis, The Wee Man is the big screen story that will chronicle the rise of notorious Glasgow gangster Paul Ferris.

The film stars Martin Compston as Paul Ferris, alongside Patrick Bergin and John Hannah. 

Filming Ressurection

Jim has recently wrapped up filming Zombie Apocalypse movie, Ressurection.  The independent feature film was filmed in England and saw Jim cast as veteran soldier Mac who is leading a band of civilians and military personnel to survival in post apocalyptic zombie ridden England.

The film was shot over several weeks in the south of England and is due for release in 2012. 

The Angels' Share Wraps

The Angels Share has just wrapped up filming in Glasgow.  Jim Sweeney who was cast as Beanpole in The Angels' Share spent several days on the shoot for his part.  The film was shot in various locations in Glasgow is about a criminal who wants his son to lead a better life, hooking up with his buddies on community service and scheming about a new, legal money-making plan involving malt whisky. 

Jim plays the role of a Police Officer who has several run ins with one of the young boys in the film.  The movie is expected to be released in 2012.

Jim Cast in Ken Loach Film

Jim has been cast as the role of Beanpole in the New Ken Loach film, The Angels Share.  Jim will be playing a Police Officer who has several run ins with two youths who have been sentenced to community service.  The film will be shot in an around Glasgow and Edinburgh during May and June.

The Re-Launch...

Jim Sweeney has revamped his website and today is the re-launch date.  With new headshots, new photographs and his new show reel Jim has an abundance of new material on his website.

Jim has been busy in recent months working on a number of projects such as NHS corporate video on mental health issues, The Sun Newspaper commerical, feature film Fubar directed by David Baker and his leading role in the pilot for crime drama series The Crews.
